2/26: Book reading and signing by Charles Hardy
Claflin Books and Copies will host Cowboy in Caracas author Charles Hardy on February 26th at 2:00 pm, Manhattan Public Library Groesbeck Room, for a book signing and reading.
Hardy is a former Catholic priest who has spent years living among the poor of Venezuela and continues to make the Latin American country his home. In Cowboy in Caracas, Hardy gives us first person accounts of the systemic poverty of the nation’s majority and how it led to a populist, democratic revolution. Americans
are often presented with negative images of the Chavez regime; Hardy offers a counter-view and some reasons for the simplistic assessment by US Media of the situation in Venezuela. Please visit Claflin Books and Copies if you would like to purchase the book prior to the event.
